Experience Design Lead

Despite being created to empower business users to automate BAU workflows, it was found that the setup of finer automations was still relatively technical for the average administrator, as reported by our specialist advocates. Based on that, and a higher strategy decision to make the product more relevant for a wider range of users, the design team and I worked to rethink the interactions and functions. We worked to redesign engineering concepts and processes, into simple controls and interfaces.

Projects & Details

Rule Builder Expansion & Optimization

Creating rules follows the programming paradigms of IF | ELSE, & AND | OR conditions. The challenge here was to keep adding sophisticated capabilities to the rules engine behind forms, without complicating the process, and still keeping it accessible to non-technical users.

Usability of Form Builder Interface & Controls

When first built, the controls to 'drag & drop' form elements were named and organized in the order of creation. As the number of controls grew and the Form Builder capabilites increased, the need to rethink the terminology, and grouping so that it was usable by a wider audience became paramount.

Theme Builder

Nintex Forms can be served on a website, or internal system, and can be styled to a business brand. To save creators time, we designed a theme builder inside the Forms tool, to allow users to save brand presets that can later be applied across all user-facing outputs in your workflow, and shared between workflow/form creators in a company.
